If getting on this segment from the north, be aware that at its northern junction, this is a rutted ATV-type trail (underwater in places in the spring). The "nice" road continues north. As of April 2020, there was a white stool at this junction -- useful, as there are a lot of other ATV trails going off into the woods around this area (a section with tall pines).
